The Abound LR is a versatile longtail electric cargo bike designed for everyday transport. Its extended rear platform and high carrying capacity make it ideal for everything from the school run and weekly shop to carrying passengers, bags and everyday essentials.
The Abound LR has a maximum total payload capacity of up to 200 kg, including the rider, passengers and cargo combined. Its purpose-built aluminium frame and low centre of gravity help provide a stable ride as the load changes.
Yes. The long rear platform can be adapted for different passenger and cargo set-ups. Compatible accessories such as the Passenger's Chair, Child Carrier Kit, Handrails and Extended Rear Bracket allow you to configure the Abound LR around your everyday needs.
Always use suitable approved accessories and observe their individual weight and usage limits.
The Aventon Control Unit adds a range of connected security and smart bike features, including 4G/GPS location, geofencing, motion alerts and app-based controls.
Supported functions also include remote motor-assistance disabling, a startup password and over-the-air updates, helping you stay connected to your Abound LR before, during and after the ride.
Certain connected features require 4G/GPS service and may require an active data subscription.
Boost Mode temporarily increases available torque and peak power for up to 30 seconds, providing additional support for steeper starts or heavier loads.
Hold Mode is designed to make manoeuvring a loaded bike easier. After using Walk Mode, it can help prevent the Abound LR from rolling backwards for up to 30 seconds, giving you time to regain control or reposition the bike.
The Abound LR is built to the IPX5 water-resistance standard, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction.
It is suitable for riding in rain and through small puddles, but it is not waterproof and should not be submerged. Avoid cleaning the bike with a pressure washer or high-pressure spray, as pressurised water can damage electrical and mechanical components.
The Abound LR's longtail platform is designed to work with a range of cargo and passenger accessories. Compatible options include the Extended Rear Bracket, Passenger's Chair, Child Carrier Kit and Handrails.
This makes it easy to adapt the bike for family rides, shopping, luggage or changing everyday requirements.
The Abound LR features an integrated kickstand lock that helps prevent the bike from rolling while the stand is down.
This creates a more stable base when loading cargo, getting passengers settled or parking the bike during everyday stops.
