Overview of Our E-Bike Categories
What is the difference between E-MTB, E-trekking, and E-Cargo bikes?
Our E-MTBs are built for off-road adventures, loose surfaces, and challenging terrain. Full suspension helps smooth out obstacles and adds extra comfort, while powerful brakes provide reliable control, even on steep descents.
E-Trekking bikes are versatile all-rounders for everyday rides, commuting, and longer tours. Suspension forks and high-volume tyres combine comfort with confidence across a wide range of surfaces.
E-Cargo bikes are designed to carry more. With extra cargo capacity and a stable, practical setup, they’re ideal for transporting shopping, gear, or everything you need for everyday adventures.
How fast can an Aventon e-bike travel in England?
Aventon e-bikes are designed for pedal assistance up to a maximum of 15.5 mph (25 km/h) in England. Of course, it is possible to travel faster than this, but only through your own pedalling or downhill and without additional motor assistance.
Is it mandatory to wear a helmet when riding an e-bike?
In England, there is no helmet requirement for e-bikes that provide assistance up to 25 km/h. However, we recommend that all cyclists always wear a helmet when riding their bike or e-bike.
Which Aventon e-bike is best suited for commuting?
For classic commuting, the trekking category is usually the best choice (comfort, stability, longer distances). If you mainly ride in the city and are looking for a particularly agile, uncomplicated setup, city e-bikes are often the best choice. If your commute regularly takes you over gravel or side roads and you want a more sporty riding experience, gravel e-bikes are often the best fit.
How far can I travel with an Aventon e-bike in terms of range?
The range depends heavily on the riding mode, cadence, speed, incline, rider weight, wind, temperature, and tires. Aventon tunes the ULTRO motor's assistance via adjustable riding modes for efficient riding - the actual range therefore always varies depending on the usage profile and is heavily dependent on external factors.
Are e-bikes also suitable for beginners?
Absolutely - the riding principle remains the same as with a conventional bicycle without a motor. Aventon also emphasizes intuitive handling and suitability for everyday use.
Can the e-bike be charged at home?
Yes - usually from a standard power outlet. It is advisable to charge the bike in a dry, well-ventilated area and to use only the charger supplied, following the manufacturer's instructions.
