Marketing Manager - UK

What You'll Do

You'll take full ownership of Aventon's marketing and PR efforts in the UK, building and nurturing relationships with media across cycling-specific, lifestyle, and sports & outdoor outlets. Your mission will be to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and elevate brand reputation as you drive Aventon's strategic UK market expansion.
As our foundational marketing resource in the UK, you will act as the vital on-the-ground touchpoint for local commercial teams while seamlessly collaborating with our core European marketing team based in Munich. If you're a skilled communicator with a deep understanding of editorial trends and a passion for building brands, this is your opportunity to ensure the Aventon story is told authentically and powerfully across a new and highly important market.

About Us

Aventon is a leader in the e-bike and retail industry in North America, dedicated to developing and distributing innovative, high-quality and inclusive products that inspire adventure and promote an active lifestyle. Producing versatile and inclusive products, we believe every ride is an opportunity for you to change how you experience the world. Our team of passionate creators, out-of-the-box thinkers, and go-getters strive to inspire people to get moving and discover the joy that comes through motion.
After establishing ourselves in the USA, the time has now come for us to enter the European market, with a new office already open in Munich and our UK presence now growing.

Key Responsibilities

  • PR & Media Relations: Act as the primary UK PR contact, driving positive brand awareness by crafting and sharing compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences. You will manage communication with media, advertising, and bike review outlets, overseeing review logistics and serving as the local gateway to product and brand information.
  • Influencer & Partnership Management: Build, maintain, and engage a strong network of contacts, specifically focusing on UK-based Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), influencers, and sponsored athletes to organically amplify brand visibility.
  • Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute UK-specific B2C and B2B events to strengthen media and dealer relationships. You will lead execution on the ground while collaborating closely with our Munich-based Event Manager for strategic alignment and resource support.
  • Social Media Management: Establish, launch, and manage dedicated UK social media channels for Aventon as soon as the company decides to invest in independent channels, tailoring content to the distinct positioning, and build out a content strategy and reporting structure.
  • Dealer & Trade Marketing Support: Partner with the sales team to provide local dealers with high-quality marketing materials, point-of-sale assets, and hands-on support to push localized activations.
  • Cross-Functional & Core Team Alignment: Serve as the core marketing touchpoint for the local UK CX, sales, and product teams, collaborating with internal teams across Munich and global HQ to ensure all initiatives support the overall brand direction.
  • Agile Marketing Support: As a key player in a small, fast-growing regional setup, handle ad-hoc marketing initiatives and catch-all tasks required to successfully grow Aventon's presence in the UK.

Requirements

You'll be successful in this role if you:

  • Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on and self-driven experience in marketing, public relations, or corporate communications.
  • Have a proven track record of executing successful campaigns that amplify marketing initiatives and managing media relations.
  • Are a native-level English speaker with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with media, partners, and international internal teams.
  • Demonstrate an ability to build, maintain, and engage a strong network of media and industry contacts.
  • Have a familiarity with the media landscape in the market and an ability to host or support events to strengthen relationships.
  • Possess strong editorial skills to draft or localize high-quality PR materials that align with the brand's unique tone of voice.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in collaborating with internal teams and external partners across different regional offices.
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, with the agility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Have experience of or familiarity with cycling topics, urban mobility, and the changing mobility landscape, adding depth to storytelling and relevance in the field.
  • Being an avid cyclist and/or passionate about the world on two wheels would really help you thrive in this role, but is not a necessity.
